I–Brite® was developed by Dr. Boxer Wachler. The procedure is completed in our La Quinta office. This painless surgery, performed by Dr. Boxer Wachler, takes 30-50 minutes and is completed with topical anesthesia only. We give you a little valium so you are relaxed throughout the procedure.
Recovery takes 2-4 weeks and during this time you can resume normal activities. The eye will appear somewhat red for the first 7-10 days and will slowly clear during this period. You will be required to use topical eye drops daily for up to 4-6 weeks. The eyes may burn or feel irritated during the recovery period. The whitening outcome following surgery is permanent although excessive sun and irritant exposure can cause a loss of whitening effect over time.
