Brian Boxer Wachler, M.D.
Dr. Boxer Wachler attends and consults our practice. A graduate of Darthmouth Medical School, Dr. Boxer Wacher completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Saint Louis University Eye Institute. He completed a fellowship in refractive and corneal surgery from the University of Kansas Medical Center. As previous director of the UCLA Laser Refractive Center and Jules Stein Eye Institute Dr. Boxer Wachler is very experienced in all forms of refractive care. He has been a clinical investigator for numerous Lasik and PRK trials, Intacs trial and Phakic intraocular lenses (implantable contact lenses). He has received a career achievement award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and was voted one of the best ophthalmologists in the United States by the Consumer Research council of America. Dr. Boxer Wachler has researched and published new treatments for keratoconus including C3-R (Collagen Riboflavin crosslinking), Intacs (intra-stromal implants) and custom CK (conductive keratoplasty) for reduction of astigmatism. Along with refractive laser surgery he specializes in multifocal IOLs (Intra-ocular lenses), and ICL (implantable contact lenses) for the correction of presbyopia and also high myopia. We are proud that Dr. Boxer Wachler attends our practice to offer consultations and follow-up care from his Beverly Hills practice.
